Education on Food Health and Lifestyle

I grew up with a macrobiotic father, so I realized early on the impact that diet has on our health. I also realized that what we eat as adults is, more often than not, a reflection of how we ate as children—in other words, our early nutritional upbringing.

I am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in the United States, and my work focuses on diet and lifestyle. Why?

Diet: I know it’s a cliché, but I subscribe to Hippocrates’ maxim: “We are what we eat.” Unfortunately, nowadays we consume a lot of animal protein and too few fruits and vegetables, which contributes to the development of various chronic diseases—as shown by The China Study, the largest study ever conducted on the impact of diet on human health.

Lifestyle: Lack of sleep, insufficient exercise, the use of personal care and household products containing harmful chemicals, and constant stress and anxiety—all of these have a negative impact on our health and well-being.

Food

  • Cook simple, healthy, and tasty meals
  • Learn to listen to your body and understand which foods suit your system and which ones you should avoid
  • How to read labels and make conscious, healthy daily choices

Lifestyle

  • Manage stress and anxiety by learning to calm your mind
  • Exercise regularly, but choose an activity that suits you!
  • Use body and household products that are good for your health and the environment

One of the most surprising results [of the program] for me was learning to listen to my body—something I had always taken for granted and deemed unworthy of much attention. I used to think it would signal me when the time was right, but strangely, it is only now clear to me that my body is part of who I am and not an autonomous entity. All of this was achieved through constant active listening during the sessions, written feedback […], and recommendations that helped me stay true to the commitment I had made to myself—which, in turn, fostered a greater sense of self-respect.

Vegetarian Cuisine Workshops

Learn simple, healthy and tasty recipes

I periodically organize healthy eating workshops at Retiro Atlântico.

Keep an eye on my social media to find out when the next one is! And if you don’t want to wait, book a private workshop with me.

I loved participating in the workshop. […]
It was a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that fostered connection and sharing; Natacha shows a real passion for what she does and possesses a great sense of humor, as well as the ability to communicate and share her knowledge effectively.
All of this opened my eyes to new ways of looking at my daily life and made me realize that it is possible to make positive changes at any time—and just how versatile and delicious vegetarian food can be.
