Hello sunshine!

Think of a tomato. It is more than the set of vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, potassium among other nutrients. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts from a nutritional point of view. But there is more. I am talking about the energy food has and then transmits to us when we eat it.

Knowledge of food energetics helps us to become more aware of how to have more health and well-being. Thus, different foods create different effects in us or “we are what we eat” like Hippocrates, the father of Medicine, once said. (I keep using this statement on my blog, don´t I? 😉 )

Did you know…

  • Root vegetables, sweet vegetables and legumes: they ground us and relax us
  • Leafy greens, fruit and raw food: they make us lighter and more flexible and awaken our creativity
  • Sugar, caffeine and alcohol: they create tension and anxiety
  • Organic and local food: by eating food from our garden or bought from the farmers´ market, organic if possible, they strengthen the connection to our home and the local community
