As I have previously explained food can be linked to certain habits, memories from the past or to the very notion of self. That´s why today I am not going to share with you what you should take away from your diet. I will tell you what you could include. So I ask you this: what do you think is missing from your diet? In most cases the answer is fruits and vegetables.
A quick and effective way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your daily life is by drinking green smoothies. Are you still there or have you decided to quit reading this post? 🙂 I know that in the beginning it might seem strange and not very appealing to drink a green drink (raw fruit+raw vegetables), but think of it as your daily supplement. However, and contrary to others, you know exactly what you are consuming!
So what are the benefits of green smoothies?

There are numerous combinations, but today I am sharing with you a simple and tasty recipe for you to make at home!
Green smoothie for beginners*
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 red apple
- 1 cup of leafy greens (ex., spinach, chards, dandelion)
- 2 mint leaves
- 800 ml of mineral water
- Add the bananas, apple (peeled if not organic) and water to the blender
- Next add the leafy greens and mint leaves
- Puree until smooth
Your drink is ready in less than five minutes! You can drink this (or other) green smoothie whenever you like, for example for breakfast or in the middle of the afternoon. The most important thing is that it becomes part of your daily routine!
